Overview
Rainbow Collision and Auto Glass is a family run business that has been raising the standards of auto body work in Colorado for the last four decades. We are a small shop that specializes in the work that other auto body shops don’t want to take on because it is to hard or they don’t have the skill set. Rainbow Collision prides itself on taking on the hardest jobs and making the vehicle look new again. Taking care of customers and their vehicles is our number one priority. If we don’t take care of our customers, then someone else will.
And we are continuing to grow, our paint booth is busier than it ever has been! We are looking for an experienced painter that is looking to bring their knowledge and grow with the company. The Paint Techs are responsible for all of the painting that happens at Rainbow Collision. These techs are experts in the field and ensure the best finish on every single item that leaves their booth. They will work with the preppers to ensure that the item is ready for paint and will have a flawless finish. Painters then do all of the painting, color and clear coat. The painters should also be responsible for keeping inventory of the paint supplies and requesting supplies and paint when needed. This position is responsible for handling the maintenance on the paint booth to ensure that we will not have any contamination.
· Ensure all jobs are ready for paint
· Prepping and blocking all vehicles that come to the booth
· Taping off when necessary
· Color matching and mixing paint
· Produce the best quality finish every time
· Ensure that all jobs stay on time and in budget
· Work with preppers to ensure that every item is ready for paint
· Perform maintenance on the paint booth when necessary
· Know the project inside and out, become the expert in each projects
· Assist with ordering paint and paint supplies, receiving and checking in supplies
· Perform inventory, and organize all paint supplies
· Stay up to date with most recent changes in rules, regulations, and industry standards and practices.
· All other tasks required by management.
Skills and Qualifications:
· 3+ years of paint experience
· Knowledge of the entire process of the body shop
· All tools necessary to complete the required work
· Extremely high skill level for all work needed to be completed on the job
· Strong attention to detail
· Able to lift 100lbs and climb a ladder
· Able to crouch, bend, and lie on the floor for extended periods of time
· Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
· Highly organized and able to stay on task
· Strong written and verbal skills
Working Conditions
The shop is climate controlled by may still be hot or cold and may have to spend some time outdoors. The shop can be loud and chaotic at times with lots of projects happening at the same time. The environment is very dusty with all of the sanding that needs to be done and may from time to time have odors in the air from Bondo, paint or other fillers. Safety glasses, and gloves are to be worn at all times, a respirator should be worn when working with fillers, paint or sanding.
Shift is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, Monday through Friday, 8AM – 5PM.
Pay and Benefits
· Pay Range: $24-$38 per hour
· 6 Paid Holidays per year
· 48 hours of paid personal time off
· 40 hours of paid vacation after first full year of employment

The Preppers are responsible for ensuring all items that hit the paint booth are paint ready and will allow for the best finish possible. The Preppers are learning the craft and will work side by side with the painters to help wherever necessary. They should be learning and asking questions, trying to one day step up into a painter role. Peppers will also need to keep inventory of supplies, requesting more when needed. They will also need to become masters of workflow and assisting the painters with moving projects through the shop.

We are currently looking for an experienced Tech to join our team. This person is relied on for their strong work and their knowledge. We need someone that can work independently, have the tools and skills required to get the job done on time and meets the highest quality. A great candidate will share our passion for customer service as well as be focused on growing skills and experience to one day be able to move up in our organization.
Responsibilities:
· Completes repairs per the estimates
· Performs initial inspection and requests part list when needed
· Ensures that all repairs are the highest quality
· Fills dents, holes, cracks when needed
· Replaces missing or damaged parts per the estimate
· Works with PDR for proper job flow for any vehicles that also need PDR
· Works with the paint department for proper job flow and prep
· Details and finishing work on vehicles when needed
· Works with Body Shop and Production Manager to ensure proper job and shop flow
· Keeping all repairs within estimate or working with the estimator if a supplement is needed
· Keep tools and equipment organized
· Keep work area clean and tidy
· Stay up to date with most recent changes in rules, regulations, and industry standards and practices.
· All other tasks required by management.
